May I ask how the age of the artifacts were determined? The point of this article is that the artifacts are very old, so it would seem to be important to know how their age was determined. My experience is that the age of ancient jewlry is usually determined by carbon dating of organic materical found along side the jewlry. However, in some cases the definition of "alone side" might mean over a mile away. So the question of how the artifacts were dated is an important one, before we accept this date as a valid date.

Why is the date so important. If the age of the earth is 6,000 years, as the Bible indicates, then claiming jewlry has been found that is 15,000 years old is significant.
